Certificates for the economic life time our switches and shifting gear mats

The material of our keyboards is subject to a strict intake controls. From the intake it will be in progress diverse samples and peer-reviewed to our high quality criteria’s.

Specific importance feels strongly about long life-cycle and functional efficiency of our keyboards, the switches and the shifting gear mats. The material for the production has our special attention. We dismantle diverse switches of the delivered material (or the shifting gear mats) and make a test in our test laboratory, in which also our new developments to be under examination. Our test laboratory works with special test equipments.

The following criterions are considered to be for the productions of our keyboards:

1. Test: receiver of the first power-stroke-diagram (new condition material)

At first we put in the finished switches or shifting gear mats from the delivered material into the test equipment to appoint the power-stroke-curve. We test the material in the new condition, whether it is equivalent to our specifications for the power-stroke-Behaviour.

The test equipment confirms once the switch or the shifting gear mat. The power you need, for example the switch W 16 or S8, to push down must correspondent in the diagram rise to a pressure point of 0,6 N, after this feature a off-peak curve, and afterwards go about endless.

2. Test: Product life (material strength)

After the strength way diagram was taken, the switches or the shifting gear mats are subjected to an endurance test now. The switches are engaged constantly with a frequency of 2 Hz (2 characters per second), depending on specification, up to 10 millions times.

The test is regarded as passed if after the quality criterion depending on specification of the keyboard laid out by us, after 1 million or 10 million activities no material fatigue is ascertainable. After the endurance test having been carried out the switch or the shifting gear mat is, i.e., examined in our measuring unit further times for the strength way diagram. The switch or the switching mat still must correspond to our specification for the power-distance-behaviour here. Signs of wear may not have appeared at the material (visual controls).
