EMC-Conformance

The EMC directive 2004/108/EU are an instruction which one describes the electromagnetic compatibility of electrical and electronic products of the European community. It contains, how the electromagnetic compatibility of equipment operated electrically obtain shall be.

Article 1 of this directive describes the validity for all electrical and electronic apparatus and systems which contain electrical or electronic components.

Article 2 of this directive describes the validity for all electrical and electronic apparatus and systems which can cause electromagnetic disturbances or whose operation can be impaired by these disturbances.

Article 4 defines the ability of an apparatus or a system, in the electromagnetic environment to work satisfactorily without causing electromagnetic disturbances which would be unacceptable for all apparatus or systems available in this environment.

The realisation of the directive 2004/108/EU is carried out with the law about the electromagnetic compatibility of equipment (EMVG) in Germany.
